It's been a while since I've written, in large part because I had the FLU last week. I am still so weak and shaky that just typing that is a Herculean effort. I keep waking up and thinking: today, I'll feel back to normal! Yeah. Not so much. Fingers crossed I am back to fighting shape soon, though, as we have a house in the middle of the building process, a move to plan, end-of-year school activities and....life. I hope everyone is happy and healthy and silently mocking me for not getting the flu shot. :)
Here are a few links from around the cyber world, which has been plugging right along while I spent nine entire days in bed. Enjoy!
Apropos to my current situation, here is an article on the flu and why it matters in young adults. We hear most often about the elderly, the very young and pregnant women in regards to the flu, but this article takes a look at another aspect of the virus.
As I search for lighting for our new home, I am in love with this Etched Cloche Pendant from Anthro. Oh, Anthro.
This Jcrew Eyelet Sweater is adorable and sweet for spring and currently 30% off. Sigh. Arizona is already too hot for long sleeves.
Have you seen this new 'affordable' Soma line from Pottery Barn? I like the slipcovers because they can easily be washed, which might be the only way I could buy cream-colored furniture.
I use this kitchen hack all the time. I find it especially helpful as my kids are learning to cut and use knives. Nothing is worse than trying to cut a carrot and losing control of things.
I might make these Peeps Houses with my kids this weekend. They look simple but fun, and my kids would love the extra supplies.
This CSM article on military spouses and mental health hits home as I see continued deployments and as we prepare for another move.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Happy Friday!
