It's getting hot here in AZ; it will get to 105 degrees today. We are bracing, and I'm considering taking a road trip up the CA coast for the month of June. Until then, it's soccer and finally having Daddy home this weekend after a few weeks in the field. I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to something really lovely this weekend, even if it's just sitting in the shade. Here are a few bits from around the cyber world. Enjoy.
I got this lipstick last week and LOVE IT. It's not drying at all, which is key for me.
Carrot Cake Donuts? I'm in.
Girls as young as 6 years have beliefs about gender and intelligence?
A one-minute exercise to build better posture. As a Barre3 devotee, I can attest to these workouts.
New York, Coffee & Community - I loved this.
Gorgeous Mother's Day Cards.
The Most Overrated Books of All Time? Um....I disagree with several but including The Catcher in the Rye is just plain wrong.
Has anyone read Commonwealth? I'm a huge Ann Patchett fan but couldn't get through State of Wonder. It just felt sad to me, and I tried to read it at a time when I couldn't afford much more sadness.
Wait...our taste buds dull as we age? Now I know why my grandparents salted everything.
With that, I'm off to meet a girlfriend for lunch and ensconce myself in a coffee shop with a new short story and an hour or two before the kids get out of school and the after school hustle begins. Happy Friday!
